Saturday Celebration!

Today we had about 300 kids join us for our VBS celebration! They heard about the salvation message and were invited to be apart of God's Family. We passed out new school pencils and T-Shirts as well as balloon swords and snacks. We were so thankful for the wonderful weather that God blessed us with. The kids enjoyed face painting, games, skits, and fun songs. Later in the afternoon we went to Carmen's mother's house for lunch and then attended the Castillo's church in the evening.

Yesterday, Hennie shared her testimony with about 20 mothers of the VBS kids and 5 gave their lives to Christ! The Castillo's family group welcomed us into their home where we enjoyed papusas and fun games with fellow believers. We were able to pray over their group.

Thank you for all of your prayers! We are really feeling God's presence and he has been so faithful to us!

Tomorrow we will be heading to Las Glorias where we will debrief and continued prayers are appreciated.

June 26

Praise: We had many eager and excited kids at VBS, but are so thankful for our translators.

Bathrooms are going really well and we hope to see the walls done tomorrow.

We are so thankful that everyone is safe, healthy and the weather is great!

Pictures aren't working well due to internet service. Hopefully pictures to come.

Livvy said her favorite part of today was brick laying.

Mary enjoyed doing crafts at VBS with the kids.

Everyone enjoyed drinking water the Honduran way- out of bags!

2nd Day

Sorry for the delay in posting. Tuesday night we got in very late, but the Lord kept us safe even though we were suppose to be home by dark due to safety.

We got a lot done on the bathrooms thanks to our Honduran helpers.

We then went canvasing around the neighborhood to tell the kids about our VBS tomorrow. Some of us road in the back of a pickup truck!

In the evening we went to an orphanage. Jodi Rudolph taught the Esther story to the kids with the help of Paige( as Esther) and Scott Tubergen (as the King)! We then did crafts, face paint, and Balloon swords and hats. We also played soccer!

Hopefully we will be able to post pictures later.

Thank you very much for all the prayers! we are feeling it!
